The majority of students come from homes where household incomes are low.
Often parents are in marginal employment or have little formal education.
The aim of this Foundation is to help bridge these gaps for able and motivated students.
Our students need committed and innovative teachers. The Foundation Trust supports students of potential to pursue and enhance the areas in which they show promise.
Further the Foundation Trust will help reward teaching excellence and provide training scholarships to enhance the leadership of our school.
The Southern Cross Campus Foundation Trust believes that the young people of Mangere can and do contribute to a dynamic, successful society.
The Campus Foundation Trust appoints two of its members to serve on the Board of Trustees. Generally the roles that adopt are ones where expertise in law, finance marketing add value to the compassion of the Board and are useful sounding boards from Principal and Trustee Chairman alike.
Reciprocally, both the Campus Director and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees sit on the Foundation Trust Board.
